You've never been to Paris? Or anywhere in France? Shoot, I'll buy you a ticket. And pay for your hotel - but I travel aggressively light - Rick Steves philosophy and all that. More fun being in the thick of things. I was just in Marais where McDonalds pulled out. It is a very nice area - I think, personally (though I like Big Macs) that a McDonalds in Marais would be disconcerting. I guess I have occassionally eaten at a McDonalds? When out of the US. Oh yeah, I live in Amsterdam (the whole Pulp Fiction thing less the blood). The food here is rather, challenging. Suffice it to say that my wife and I fly 45 minutes to Paris for weekends sometimes just to eat. Anyway, yeah, McDonalds in The Netherlands is sometimes not a bad thing. So, two serious things. One, killing people by bombing McDonalds is a no-no. (non-non?) Two, if you want to go to Paris and other parts, I will pay. It would be cute. Only catch is you will be with my son - it would be educational to watch (for him and me). You can do France on a low budget. Last two weeks of July are good (after July 13 - until July 28). Or later? Let me know. I would love to see a newbie in France. Brian Pawlowski
